Italian C++ Conference 2020

The Italian C++ Conference 2020 was the very first C++ international conference going online during the COVID-19 emergency. Our experience was useful to other organizers to find a better setup for future events.

Our setup consisted of YouTube for live and recorded sessions and Discord for networking.

Online Conference Setup

  • 1×90-min live keynote session (YouTube + live chat)
  • 7×50-min live sessions (YouTube + live chat)
  • 2×50-min and 1×30-min pre-recorded sessions (YouTube)
  • talk follow-ups and text/video/voice moderated and sized virtual rooms for networking (Discord)


  • 502 registrants
  • 415 virtual check-in
  • 250 keynote live viewers
  • 180 people entered the virtual networking server

The Italian C++ Conference abides the Italian C++ Code of Conduct.
