Rust for C++ developers

Rust is a modern language that is becoming increasingly popular for “systems programming” and was rated “the most loved programming language” for 7 years in the StackOverflow survey.
In this talk we’ll briefly talk about the Rust language, but the main focus will be on one of its features, the borrow checker, that ensures memory safety at compile time. We’ll show simple examples of unsafe C++ code and we’ll see why these are not allowed in Rust.

Studied Computer Science and Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and then began working for Ferrari ever since. Currently in the AI modelling group, takes care of deploying data-driven models.
